28 Years Of Hydro Systems Experience

Canyon Hydro commercial systems are custom designed and fabricated to customer specifications in the United States.  Deployed worldwide, most of our Commercial systems tie into the local utility grid, although in some cases the power is produced solely for local consumption.  For all systems, high efficiency and reliable operation receive our highest priority.

Shown below are a few of Canyon's Commercial systems currently producing power.

The Hystad project is located in the interior of British Columbia.  The identical twin nozzle Canyon Pelton turbines are designed to operate under a head of 317 meters.  The total output is over 7 MW.

This twin nozzle Canyon Pelton turbine, designed and built for the City of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, operates under an effective head of less than 140 meters and produces over 1200 KW. The Kato generator is synchronized with Utah Power grid, but can be operated independently to serve the city.
